1. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) :

BBA aims at educating students and preparing them for handling managerial positions to start a professional career in business or public management. It will enable them to take over responsible positions in domestic and global business organizations with modern impersonal skills and technical know-how of the recent trends in global business.

It is designed to provide students with a better and broader perspective of the world, society, business, and life by combining the study of social sciences and humanities with the study of business and management. The curriculum is built on four targeted learning competencies for starting a career in management and pursuing advanced management knowledge.

This BBA program will develop positive attitudes, abilities, and practical skills that are needed for a competent and responsible manager, and the program will work as a foundation for master's studies in management. 

Objectives of BBA program of Tribhuvan University

  • Prepare students to take up middle-level managerial positions in the business sector.

  • Develop students' skills in object-oriented business management capable of understanding and solving practical business problems creatively.

  • Provide professional management education with a blend of computer and management information system courses.

  • Prepare students to proceed onto postgraduate level study in business administration.

ELIGIBILITY

The candidate applying for admission to the BBA program of Tribhuvan University must have:

  1. Minimum D+ grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.80 or more / Secured at least second division in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent program;

  2. Successfully completed twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board, or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.

  3. complied with all the application procedures.

Eligible applicants are required to appear in the entrance test commonly known as Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management. The test will follow the international testing pattern and standards. It includes the areas like:

2. Bachelor in Computer Science and Information Technology (B.Sc.CSIT) :

B.Sc. CSIT is a four-year course affiliated with Tribhuvan University designed to provide the student with all sorts of knowledge in the field of Information Technology and Computing. 

BSc CSIT program involves, in addition to conventional lectures, a great deal of practical and project works. The program develops the underlying principles of both Computer Science and Information Technology and shows how these principles can be applied to real world problems. This program develops the skills that are essential for both computer professionals and IT specialists.

The design and implementation of B.Sc. CSIT course offers new challenges when compared to the traditional computing environment. The recent emergence of global business, new technologies for data processing and data communication / networking environment, equip specialized science graduates to focus on professional careers in Information Technology. The B.Sc. CSIT program provides the students with adequate theoretical and practical knowledge which will enable students to effectively participate in solving the complex problem of the IT industry.

Mission of the B.Sc. CSIT course:

The mission of the B.Sc. CSIT course is to prepare the students to pursue career advancement in the field of information technology. At the completion of this degree, a student will be able to design the real world e-media products or create technical solutions to hardware and software problems, depending on the chosen area of specialization and electives.However, the main aim of the B.Sc. CSIT program can be enlisted as:

  • To offer intensive knowledge in the theory, design, programming and application of computers.

  • Providing an in-depth understanding of and experience with computer systems.

  • Developing creative and analytical skills that provides a basis for technological problem-solving.

  • Equipping students with the technical knowledge required for an IT professionals to handle multi-tasking situations and to assess and develop computer based solutions.

  • Imparting knowledge of computer and programming logic environment in IT.

  • Knowledge of advanced IT applications in different business sectors.

  • To equip students with the technical knowledge required for an IT professional to handle multi-tasking and multi programming situations and to assess and develop computer based solutions.

  • To provide necessary knowledge in the field of functional knowledge of hardware system and the and necessary knowledge of computer software system.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

A student eligible to study the B.Sc. CSIT course should collect and submit the admission form from any of the B.Sc. CSIT colleges. The admission form generally opens during Shrawan / Bhadra every year.

Entrance Examination:

  1. Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology, Dean office conducts the entrance examination.

  2. The Entrance Examination will be of 100 Full Marks including the subjects of Intermediate/10+2 level or equivalent incorporating English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects and the pass marks is 35.

  3. All the Questions of Entrance Examination will be Objective Type (MCQs).

  4. The Examination Time Duration will be of 2 hours.

3. Bachelor in Information Technology (BIT) :

Bachelors in Information Technology (BIT) program of Tribhuvan University  is designed by closely following the courses practiced in accredited international universities, subject to the condition that the intake students are twelve years of schooling in any stream or equivalent from any recognized board. 

In addition to the foundation and core Information Technology courses, Bachelors in Information Technology (BIT) offers several elective courses to meet the undergraduate academic program requirement and to fulfill the demand for development and implementation of new technology. 

Students enrolled in the four year BIT program of Tribhuvan University are required to take foundation and core courses of Information technology, courses of mathematics, statistics, management, economics, sociology, psychology, research methodology and technical writing, and some elective courses. 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Should have successfully completed a twelve year of schooling in any stream or equivalent from any university, board, or institution recognized by TU.

  • Should have secured a minimum of the second division in their +2 or equivalent OR should have at least a 'C' grade or CGPA 2.0 in all subjects in Class 11 and 12 by taking English and Mathematics of 100 marks.

  • Passed A level in any stream and secured at least a 'D' grade in English and Mathematics.

  • Passed 3 Years Diploma in Engineering program from CTEVT taking both English and Mathematics.

4. Bachelor of Education in Information Communication Technology (B.Ed. ICT/BICTE) :

Bachelor of Education in Information Communication Technology (BEd ICT) is an undergraduate program offered by Tribhuvan University, under the Faculty of Education. It is a 4-year semester-based program spreading over 8 semesters covering a total of 138 credit hours, that includes 12 credit hours for communication skills courses, 24 credit hours for educational core courses, 60 credit hours for specialization major subjects, 30 credit hours for minor subjects and 9 credit hours for teaching internship/practicum.

BEd ICT Education is a bachelor degree program introduced to make students familiar with the modern education systems and computer science, along with the use of information and communication technology focusing on the subjects like Information Technology, C/C++ Programming, Psychology, Fundamental & Technology in Education, Java Programming Language, Database Management System, Data Communication, and Artificial Intelligence.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least D+ Grade in each subject.

4. Bachelor of Bussiness Studies (BBS) :

The objective of the BBS programme of Tribhuvan University at the FOM is to develop students into competent managers for any sector of organized activity. The programme is based on the principle that graduates will spend a major portion of their life in a constantly changing environment. Therefore, the student should have an  opportunity to obtain a broad knowledge of the concepts and reality- based skills underlying the operation and management of organizations. 

Upon graduation, students should be equipped to function as a manager in business, industry and government. The graduate should also have a variety of career opportunities in different sectors of business including entrepreneurship and create much needed jobs for others. 

ELIGIBILITY

The candidate applying for admission to the BBS program of Tribhuvan University:

  • Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from the recognized academic institutes with second division (securing 45% and above) or 1.8 CGPA are eligible to enroll in this program.

4. Bachelor of Science in Physics (B.Sc. Physical Group) :

B.Sc Physics is a four year annual program of Tribhuvan University. Tribhuvan University started 4 years Bachelor of Science in Physics (B.Sc Physics) from 2012 AD. Physics is one of the most fundamental of all sciences, and is the basis of our scientific knowledge of the physical world. It seeks to explain the behaviour of matter, time and space in the universe and covers phenomena ranging from subnuclear interactions to cosmological events like the Big Bang. The traditional B.Sc. degree in Physics is centred on understanding scientific fundamentals and it is through this basic approach that advances in scientific knowledge and technological innovations have been made. ELIGIBILITY

Any candidates who have completed 10+ 2 or equivalent securing minimum 'C' grade in all subjects of  Grade 11 and 12 with 200 Full Marks of Mathematics are eligible for admission in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Physics program of Tribhuvan University. 

5. Bachelor of Science in Biology Group (B.Sc. Biology Group) :

Bachelor of Science (BSc.) is a four year program of Tribhuvan University. This program is conducted by TU Institute of Science and Technology (IoST). The program has been upgraded from 3 years course to 4 years course from 2012 in order to make it in line with the international universities’ practices. The total course is of 2000 marks. Students have to study core courses and scientific communication in first year, core courses and applied statistics in second year. In the third year, apart from core courses of respective discipline, students have to study research methodology and electives subjects. In elective courses, students have to choose any two subjects from respective subject pool. Fourth year consists of core courses, project work/ field work, computational courses and interdisciplinary courses. Fourth year is research oriented for providing knowledge, ideas and acquaintance to the students in the field of research. Bachelor of Science (BSc.) course is divided into theory and practical which is of 100 and 50 marks respectively. Bachelor of Science envisions producing highly qualified undergraduates having strong foundation in the different discipline of science and technology. B.Sc. Biology group covers these subject as combination Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Microbilogy. 

ELIGIBILITY

Any candidates who have completed 10+ 2 or equivalent securing minimum 'C' grade in all subjects of  Grade 11 and 12 with 200 Full Marks of Biology are eligible for admission in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Physics program of Tribhuvan University. 

6. Bachelor of Arts (BA in English, Math, Nepali, Sociology, Home Science, Political Science, Population, Economics, Maithili) :

Tribhuvan University has launched four-year bachelor’s course in BA from the academic year 2076/077 under the  Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.  It is the inter-disciplinary subjects where students can study English, Math, Nepali, Sociology, Home Science, Political Science, Population, Economics and Maithili  within the same stream. 

The four-year course is of 2,000 marks (500 marks each year) and students can choose two subjects of 700 marks each as their majors and two subjects of 100 marks each as elective subjects.

There will be three compulsory subjects — English, Nepali and Nepal Studies. English will be of 200 marks, Nepali 100 marks and Nepal Studies 100 marks. English has been made compulsory in the first and third years, while Nepali will be compulsory in the second year.

The students will be evaluated on the basis of written examinations of 70 marks, while 30 marks will be for internal assessment, including mini project, classroom presentation and teamwork for each subject.

Eligibility

  1. Students should have secured at least D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12. 

OR

  1. Must have completed the intermediate, Proficiency Certificate or 10+2 level, in Humanities or Science or Management Stream from Tribhuvan University or from any other University or Board recognized by Tribhuvan University.

  2. Students desirous of studying Major English/Economics in the BA Program may do so, but are required to pass the Major English Subject within three years at +2 or PCL recognized by TU if they have not already studied this course at +2 or PCL Level

  3. Students who have studied any other subject at +2 or PCL level can apply for admission to Major subjects like Rural Development, Social Work and Sociology in the BA Program.

  4. Students desirous of studying Journalism and Mass Communication as a Major subject in BA program must have studied Journalism/Mass Communication at +2 or PCL can apply for Journalism subject.

7. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed in Health & Physical Education, English, Nepali, Math, Population
                                                   Education)
 :

Since 1996 Tribhuvan University (TU) has been implementing three-year Bachelor programs with an annual examination system in Faculties of Education, Management and Humanities and Social Sciences and Institute of Science and Technology. Recently, the duration of Bachelor's programs in those faculties and institutes has been made four years by adding one more year. In conformity with this, the Faculty of Education (FoE) is going to introduce a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with two specialization subject areas (specialization major and specialization minor subject) in 2072 BS instead of offering a single specialization area like in a three-year B.Ed.

Accordingly, students of four-year BEd. program will have to study one subject area as a specialization major and the next as specialization minor area selecting from among Nepali Education, English Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education (physical science), Health and Physical Education, Population Education, History Education, Geography Education, Economics Education, and Political Science Education. Students may also study one of the courses from among Science Education (Biological Science), Health Education, Physical Education, vocational education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Development Education, Non-formal Education, and Education Management as specialization minor.

ELIGIBILITY

Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations securing minimum 'D+' grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 are eligible to enroll in B.Ed program of Tribhuvan University.

Or,

Students with Higher Secondary Education Examination Pass Certificate (HSEEPC, hereafter only HSE) or Proficiency Certificate Level of Tribhuvan University (PCL) or equivalent to HSE/grade 12 pass are eligible for the admission in B.Ed programme. In addition, they need other requirements for the admission in different major subject specialization areas which are as follows:

  1. Nepali Education
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL with Nepali major with at least 200 marks
  2. English Education
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL with English or Linguistics major
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL with 50% marks in General English Or
    • Candidates with HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL must secure 50% marks in the Entrance Examination conducted by the respective department of the campuses
  3. Mathematics Education
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL with Mathematics Major containing at least 200 marks
  4. Health and Physical Education
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL with Health & Physical Education or
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL with Science or Population or Home Science or Nursing and any other subjects.
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL without health and physical education background must pass the physical fitness related entrance test conducted by the respective department of the campuses.
    • The candidate without physical disability will be eligible to study health and physical education.
  5. Population Education
    • HSE / Grade 12 pass or PCL with Population Studies or Geography or Economics or Health and Physical Education or Community Health or Science or Mathematics or Home Science or Civics or Social Service or Nursing or Commerce.
